I recently got a MBA 2017 (because I prefer this model) so it is under warranty.
But as you all are too familiar is the 128gig SSD specific for Apple.
OWC is offering their compatible SSD and is on sale now.

    Question:
    1. Can I have it replaced (me buying the OWC SSD) by Apple service Center (BTB) but me installing the OS X?
    2. Or can I replace it myself and NOT void the warranty?

    Thanks

Replace it yourself. If you need to send it in for service, swap back the stock SSD.

    Thanks.
Read also in OWC blog that user can change it but if other problems occur that need service, I have to put back the old SSD. Because of the consumer act in the US. Just afraid that it wont be applied locally.
