Closing the loop on this Q&A. Got the Titanium version. Thanks again for the recommendation!

^I have the same question regarding the Territory... How is it?

Looks like my wife will choose it over the Innova G A/T

Disclosure: I am a Ford brand loyalist.
I've been downsizing, first from Explorer and now from Everest, which I am selling.

    First impressions
    • Quality of fit and finish: impressive
    • Size: good that it's smaller vs what I've been driving, and even then it's still spacious inside
    • Ease of driving: all family members like driving it; they were intimidated by my previous cars
    • Comfort is good, though I am still searching for the perfect driving position.
    • It does have a lot of toys, which is what all the reviews will tell you.
    • However the interface has a learning curve. I guess that's true for all new cars with touchscreens. I miss the time when cars just had physical knobs that you can turn without looking at them. These new vehicles make you violate the distracted driving act just operating them.

We also have an Innova. Those are two very different vehicles. The Innova is obviously more versatile as it can carry more. In comparison it's therefore bigger to drive and the controls are heavier. I suppose if you need the size and versatility of the Innova that's the one to get - we have always had an Innova, which is great for airport duties, whole-family transporting, and similar tasks. The quality of the Ford is at a higher level and it's a much friendlier drive. My wife loves her Mazda CX5, as do all of us, and she is quite impressed with the Territory.

We always had an AUV/MPV for those times when we needed to carry something... Then we learned about Lalamove :D

Wife likes the safety features and toys of the Territory. Plus the interior feel... Toyota will need to go on sale (or a really good promotion) for my wife to choose it over the Territory.

Anyone here in Philmug drives a Toyota Cross? My family is considering it since they want to try a crossover car, but I'd like to hear personal experiences, esp with comfort and fuel mileage. (y)

    Better join their FB group.

As for the Fuel Mileage. My personal theory is that no car manufacturer (except for the Hummer) will release a car that's lower than 7km/l

So anything above 7 is a bonus.

That is a hurdle for me. Deleted my Facebook account for maybe 2 1/2 years now.. But lol, it seems that every car model has a dedicated FB group to it as it seems.

My 2016 Honda City does 9km/l city driving and even 15-18km/l on a good day at SLEX, must be bigger cars for 7km/l.

Lastly, they were first considering a Subaru XV, but also thinking about cost of parts and resale value, a Toyota is very good at that. Hmm.

As much as I hate FB... I can't delete the account because of family, groups and the marketplace.

As you mentioned City. I joined a City club and I find it so funny that I can only do 10km/l (at best, quarantine traffic). 8-9km/l on a normal pre-Covid traffic
Some guys in the FB group are claiming to get 12km/l inside Metro Manila.

Back to the Cross. I was presently looking at it as a car for my wife. My sister told me she visited Toyota and was told that even a test drive is not available.

Wife prefers the Territory, but I told her to keep an open mind and observe the cars on our list until end of the year.

Off topic but, I don't know where to get an answer...Is it true that if you buy a grey market Porsche, and have it serviced at PGA Cars, you need to pay 500k first?

Not sure about Porsche Philippines' policy...

BUT, Lexus Philippines requires you to pay P500,000 or 10% of the car's retail price, "whichever is higher."

I find myself at awe with Kia's aesthetics these days. Good job to the design & engineering team of their's, it wasn't long ago when I hear Kia, I'd picture them as the Kia Pride.

    Kia Sportage 2022 looks slick!

milage really depends on driving style and traffic as well

i had a 2011 honda city and a daily short drive and traffic dragged the mileage down from a 9 to a 7 or even 6 km/l.

but if you do a run in the expressway, It can go 18 to 20km/l

so driving style is also a big part of the equation
