for the compulsive/impulsive types that hate the mishmash of aqua, brushed metal, and the unified theme elements strewn all over mac os x 10.4... here's your chance to make everything look a whole lot cleaner by putting the unified theme everywhere in the os. now i can say my tiger has never looked better

    get uno here gui.interacto.net.

Ah thanks for the link. Was about to search the net but decided to search here in the Mug.
    Thanks Gomi.
Am gettin sick of the brushed metal already, what I do like is the new iTunes 6.0 look.

Somehow, Safari's buttons seem out of place with the sunken unified look. I hope they do something about it. Something like Mail's buttons.

UNO has been updated to version 1.3... get it here gui.interacto.net

It now has a "UNO shade" option which I prefer over the too whitish original, and even over the bright Iridium clone. Safari and iTunes skinning is now smooth and free of artifacts.

I've been using this since last year and so far no side effects from use aside from cosmetic anomalies in iSync when the sync icon is rotating.

    Go try it!

BTW: it is Universal Binary and should work fine with the new Mac babies.

Question: When I run this, will it any any overhead to my system resulting in slowdown of the OS overall?

It shouldn't, unlike other skinning apps like shapeshifter, all it does is replace the native bitmaps used by the OS...

@ suavecito: ever since installing this I've just hated the brushed metal Finder windows. I expect apple to drop the brushed metal theme entirely with Leopard. The spattering of metal/aqua/unified gui elements is just too confusing for newbies and ugly for the OC.

The thing is i forgot to uninstall Uno when i updated to 4.6 so my GUI went nuts when i restarted my system after the update, thus, i just did a system restore and forgot to install uNO. Now im bringing it back again, the clean feeling of having one look for your GUI's.

I like it more than the old one which i have been using too since last year. But are the buttons in dialog windows really still in the lighter shade?
