I can't find anything about this problem here or via google, so here goes...

After restarting my mac earlier today, upon start-up, the unit converter widget appeared in the desktop. When I open Firefox, or Safari, or any other application, the widget is always on top. I currently have it "hidden" at the side of the screen. Even if I use spaces, it's still there, full sized, and appears in whichever space I choose.

Here are several screenshots to show you what I mean:
notice that Safari is the application I chose, while the widget is still on top.

    here's while spaces is activated...

finally, here's with dashboard being used. You can see the widget just behind the calendar, calculator and unit converter.

Any ideas why this happened? And how do I rectify this? I already restarted several times and I also did a software update and restarted. It's still there...

    Try this -

1> use your mouse to click and hold on the converter widget
2> press F11 to activate dashboard via keyboard
3> once dashboard activates, release mouse click
