    Hi!

I forgot my itunes backup password (encrypted) and i want to delete the old backups and create a new backup (my phone is still with me) without password and not encrypted so that i can export my iphone messages to pdf or word format.

how can i do this please? the messages are important so i want to save them in case the phone gets lost or damaged.
i found some apps to export messages but they all ask for the itunes password

    thanks in advance.

Last Sunday I had same issue. This is sometimes troublesome especially the password you set is pretty complicated. Check the details below.

    1. Please connect your IOS devices to a computer and open iTunes program.

    2. Click your iPhone icon in the top-right side of iTunes window and all your device information will be displayed.

    3. In the Backup area, you need to uncheck Encrypt local Backup option. Then enter your backup password in pop-up dialog and click OK.
