Replaced my old Samsung Ultra HD curved TV with the LG C7t. Finally, Dolby Vision on Netflix. https://imgur.com/a/ohr21
seems like 4K HDR TVs are (finally) starting to go down in price. Sony 43" X7007E is only 35,599 - i badly want to buy one for my PS4 Pro but my budget approval hasn't passed congress yet. hahaha.
Between a standard 4K monitor and a 1080p HDR monitor, I would pick the latter. Would be a waste to own a 12-bit video camera with 13 stops of dynamic range (closer to film) then not be able to render it on a non-HDR display. Quality over quantity.
A bit OT. Any recommendations for a Dolby Atmos soundbar for my LG TV. Make sense to compliment your Dolby Vision capable TV with a Dolby Atmos soundbar. The logical choice of course is the LG SJ9 but I'm open to suggestions. TIA.
yamaha ysp 5600 The price is bit steep. Nearly 100k. hehe. So might be more expensive than your tv. The SJ9 is good already.
Does anyone of you here own a Samsung HWK950 Dolby Atmos soundbar? It’s currently on sale until the end of the month, and I’ve been itching to get it for Christmas. Your thoughts will be most appreciated.
I got mine for 99k on a kidney-reduction promo...sans the Soundbar... After two hours, I finally got the TV And Soundbar to the tune of 105k...
Care to give details why? Just want to get more information before I consider getting it or ditching it.
better test the unit first i its really 4K UHD. sometimes its just marketing. if its a real 4KTV then its HDMI should be HDCP 2.2 and is capable of 4K RGB at 60Hz. thats why i bought SONY X7007E instead. since my PS4 pro can detect if the TV is 4K or not.
