^The cost of getting caught? hahaha
We have a rule, any big ticket purchases, we discuss it before buying. I bit the bullet and bought the tv for myself. So when it got delivered, she was surprised and said why i didnt discuss it. I said i have a gift for you, her new bag, should i have discussed this too?

what do you guys think of hisense/devant?
are they bang for buck sets?
^If it ain't Sony or LG, I'd rather go TCL than those brands.
You get what you paid for. Don’t expect LG- like screen quality. You might also want to consider TCL. Bought one last year for 27K. 55 inch/ Ultra HD, HDR , Smart TV.
we got hisense in our condo’s. 18mos since we’ve had no issues. For the same price as TCL, Devant, etc. the model we got was the only one that had capability to decode DTS.
In our home though, it’s Samsung and LG.
