I've been testing various desktop Tweeter apps and this one may well be a good try. Tested TweetDeck, its full featured but quite a resource hog. So shifted to DestroyTwitter, similar to TweetDeck, an Adobe Air app, and consumes half the resources that TweetDeck does.

After using Tweetie for a while I have to say it's now my favorite Twitter client. It's clean, fast, native, simple and not a resource hog.

I used DestroyTwitter and Tweetdeck before this. It doesn't have all the features of Tweetdeck (Facebook integration, for one), but I think it stays true to what my view on what Twitter should be - short and simple. Nice interface to boot. I love the way you can view pics on Twitpic without having to go to the web - it's by far, my favorite feature.

    Tweetie, FTW.

I also instantly fell in love with this client. :D nice effects. Will be using twitter more and more because of this.
