What are some TV series you are waiting to premiere? Currently, I have my sights on Castle Rock - a haunted place that is featured in many of Stephen King's works. It would be interesting to see how this pans out as it is not a direct adaptation of any of Stephen King's existing works.

I'm not really a fan of Lindelof, he has a habit of writing an interesting story with a compelling set up but the ending or payoff is somewhat disappointing, imo. I will definitely check this out though as I am fan of the Watchmen comics.

Maniac starring Emma Stone and Jonah Hill. Released date has yet to be announced.

    Premise
I'll seriously check this out. Premise alone seems worth it.

Hmm. Not really a TV series but Andy Serkis' version of Jungle Book, Mowgli is going to be released in Netflix.Too bad for Serkis, it was supposed to be a cinematic release but WB felt it was too dark and wouldn't cater to a larger audience. Happy Netflix subscriber here. :):)

Huge improvement following the first trailer. Looks fun and dark, my kind of series. Will definitely visit the series.

With the successful reboot of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, there's now talk to seriously put into motion Ryan's titular sidekick, John Clark...

Possible actors to portray the CIA's most lethal enforcer are Michael B. Jordan or Lakeith Stansfield, whichever wins, of course...

It'll be great to see what they have for John Clark. Anyone read Rainbow Six? I love the Airplane part, "tell him Rainbow Six is on the line...".

HBO just premiered its new miniseries called "Chernobyl", which is something we've always read about but never understood until now. Am sure this will actually pave the way to fully grasping how and why nuclear energy is more of a disaster waiting to happen than a boon.

I read most if not all the Tom Clancy books and thoroughly enjoyed them. I had no qualms about John Krasinsky resurrecting that Jack Ryan character, however I don't think I can accept a "younger" John Clark, who was already a grizzled veteran in the books. I know the new TV series is a totally different take on that world, hence some liberties on character circumstances were taken.

On of those liberties taken is the character arc of James Greer, who instead of being an ex-Admiral and Deputy Director for CIA Operations in previous iterations, is now just a head of T-FAD, ex- station chief in Pakistan, and a Muslim convert. Nothing wrong in that but supposedly, the reason Jack Ryan and John Clark had quite a vast leverage in some of their spec ops is because of Greer's vast network and field of responsibility, something lacking in the Greer of the TV series.
