Trash Thrashes Me

    Trash says:
    [​IMG]
    Already being the Admin of MY mbp, I don't get why i can't empty my trash. Anyone know how to get around this?

    Try one of the ff: (in order)

    0. Restarted the system and try to empty the trash again

    1. Check if the one or more of the files are locked- unlock it first

    2. That you have the correct permissions to modify the file/s - use Disk Utility and repair disk permissions

    3. One of the file have special characters on their name e.g. .filename or test/file - rename it

    4. Holding option + command and then click on delete key

    5. Uncheck Empty Files Securely under the Finder Preferences

    Last Resort: If you are 100% sure that all those files in the trash are indeed trash, then open the Terminal and type

    sudo rm -rf /.Trashes ~/.Trash
