It sucks how Michael Bay holds a precious childhood memory hostage, releasing TF movies that get worse with every sequel. But I still watch them . As long as these movies make money, studios will keep retaining directors like Bay and Zack Snyder. S**t.
I'll definitely go and see this because my kids absolutely love Transformers (classic, RID, Michael Bay, all of them). As for me, I'll sleep through this one like I did with the others
Anyone here planning to watch this film? Transformers: The Last Knight review: a gorgeous summer blockbuster with no soul | The Verge
Will be watching this later @ a Mega Screen 3D. I have always been a Transformers fan since the 1st one came out 10 years ago, and I never miss the 1st day of showing for each film.
I loved this part of the review... My wife and daughter breathe a sigh of relief when I told them we weren't watching this film.
eh, i'd still watch it. it's a movie about giant robots beating the crap out of each other. i don't expect kubrick. besides, the kids love it.
I watched this an hour ago. I do not want to review the technical aspects of this film as I do not have any knowledge of it, but, as a movie lover, I would recommend this movie for its entertainment value. The movie has this chaotic and frantic pace on top of the Michael Bay style that can be confusing and overwhelming at times. This is 7/10 for me.
Just came back from the show. Snoozed 3/4 of the film. Must be the comfy ultra-reclined lazyboy seats of Uptown Ultra Cinema. Zzzzzz.....
Watched it last night. 5/10. It's baaad! Not as bad as the last one but still bad. To Transformers G1 fans, they'll probably enjoy some of the mythos referenced from the G1 cartoons although it's been drastically changed. I'm just glad that this is Michael Bay's last Transformers movie. No more Bayformers. Mr. Bay, - Just go and make Badboys 3 or Armageddon 2. Leave this franchise alone.
Yes, i highly recommend watching it in 3D. I think Michael Bay almost perfected the concept in filming 3D movies especially on action sequence. But for the storyline? Just read the reviews online.
2 1/2 hours of visual extravaganza from Robots to hot chick but sadly the storyline is unbelievably unrealistic and crappy. It should have been Optimus Prime and Autobots with Mark Wahlberg in supporting role but it felt like the other way around. After Ted and Transformers, it is high time they bring Mark Wahlberg to the Chucky franchise so that he can get his proper due. lol!
The storyline is just all over the place. I even caught myself dozing off a few times. It's a known fact that Hollywood shoots movies in chunks and it's only the magic of post-production that puts everything together in a seamless story voyage from point A to Z. But in the Transformers franchise, it's as if they didn't know how to put Humpty Dumpty back together again. Continuity was just, ugh. Michael Bay puts too much attention on camera angles, CGI, and overall cinematic FX and has removed himself completely from keeping the story interesting. If I wanted a movie reboot, this would be it. It'll probably look better under the direction of Christopher Nolan.
