    Hi guys!

Just wondering if you already have your touch bar coating faded? I use the escape and f1 keys all the time and after 3 days of working, the touchbar have circle fades around the esc and f1 area. you can easily notice that because it will look different than the other part of the touchbar.

I'm using the MBP 2017 touchbar.

    anybody has the same issue?

    TIA

My guess is that's just oil. As the surface of the Touch Bar is matte, the portions that you press often will appear shiny because of the oil from your fingers. Try wiping it with a mildly damp microfiber cloth--that ought to do the trick.

I've had my 2016 MBP for over 6 months now and pretty much sure I've pressed the esc area at least 20 times more than you've ever did so far, yet the matte surface of my Touch Bar appears even, with not a single sign of fading. While mine's a 2016 MBP and yours is the 2017, I have no reason to believe that there's any difference in the material used on and quality of the Touch Bar of our machines.

will try this one later, thank you so much. it would be nice if others can share their thoughts on this.

    update:
It worked! didn't want to wipe it or anything a while ago but damp microfiber did the trick.
