I bought the aw sports edition series 2 yesterday and is still finding my way around it.
I am hoping the philmug veterans of the apple watch can share here the many ways to make full use of it's capabilities.
    Thanks!

Siri makes the Watch much more powerful and useful than expected. I use Siri to, among others:

    • Reply to SMS
    • Reply to emails
    • Do quick math
    • Perform unit conversions
    • Create a calendar event
    • Check the weather
    • Perform currency conversions
    • Select and play an iTunes playlist
    • Answer the phone or make a call when my phone is packed away or not near me or when I don't want to bring out my IP7+ (it's a big phone, no?)

I use my apple watch for 4 things:
    - log expenses using Money Pro app
    - log and track my gym workouts using Gymaholic app
    - log my bike commute using Strava
    - track my sleep using Autosleep

Yup. What I do is either charge my watch when im in the office, or more often, charge my watch as soon as I arrive home. I noticed that I spend enough time before heading to bed to have it fully charged by then.

Autosleep is really great. For money pro, their app often goes on sale, just watch out for it via Appshopper (for easy email notifs). Was able to get the OSX version from $25 to like $5. Now my expenses are synced across all my devices. Do note that Money Pro isn't as intuitive as other expense trackers, but tradeoff is it's depth. I no longer need to maintain a separate spreadsheet to track my wallet, passbook, and and credit card accounts.

While on the treadmill, aside from counting my calorie moves, I use the Apple Watch to switch in between songs in Spotify. Apple Watch and AirPod are my great workout buddies :)

I've been using AutoSleep for a week now, I alternate between wearing the watch during sleep or sometimes just leave it on the charging cradle and so far it's been accurate in tracking my sleep hours. I probably would get a nylon band so it will be more comfortable to wear it on the bed, I'm currently using a milanese loop

Never got airplane mode mirroring to work perfectly on my Apple Watch Series 2 + iPhone 6s and then now iPhone X.

I've already set it up to mirror in the settings (Watch app on iPhone).

Whenever I activate airplane mode either on the watch or phone, it would mirror to the other device. But whenever I would turn it off, again either from the phone or watch, the other device won't mirror that action.

    Any tips?

I think that will never happen, because since your aw is in airplane mode, it means it is cut off from your iphone so there is no means for it to receive any signal from your iphone that it needs to turn off airplane mode too.
It only works one way, turning on airplane mode.
At least that is how i analyze it.

Thought so, too. Just feels un-Apple for you to be able to conveniently turn it off but not on simultaneously on both devices.

QQ: Did you guys calibrate your AW for the accurate step count? I just got mine and I noticed that my step count increased even though I was sleeping.

mine is about 10% LESS than what the gym treadmills indicate. ive tried most of the machines and more often than not, my AP series 3 would be off by 200 meters for every 2 kms

Do you guys have any tips on calibration? I tried the walking while workout app is open for 20 minutes (I actually do this every time I go for a walk outside). The tracking has improved, however, I am still annoyed that I am getting steps while sleeping. (Sobrang likot ko ata matulog -.-)

Raise to Siri has proven to be useful for hectic moments.

AirPods + Apple Watch + Apple Music in the gym or hiking feels liberating (phone in car/locker)

Sleep Tracker using AutoSleep (Series 0)

Cover to mute incoming calls is also very helpful for unwanted disturbances.

The flashlight feature is surprisingly bright!

Loop choices hands down Milanese for comfort and style. While the sport loops are comfy and fits securely —dries fast too!
