I bought a couple of lightning cables for me and my friend.

My friend uses older Apple devices. I use the latest ones.

For my friend - the cable worked. Maybe because he uses older Apple devices.

For me - the cable it didn't.

I think I bought Class A ones that are half the cost of the original Apple cables.

Be informed though that there is no third party usb-c to lightining cable that is certified mfi hence you will not find reputable brands such as Anker, Belkin, etc that carry such product. You can always try getting those unknown brands but be cautious as there is no guarantee that they will work as well or as safe as those that are certified mfi.

I just bought 2 from Baseus (USB-C to lightning)

Using a USB-A to C adapter - device sync and charging are ok
Macbook Pro - device sync and charging are ok
Using an Anker UCB-C with Power Delivery adapter - not charging!

Did you order online or you bought it personally from a store? I am interested as well.
