For those who have too many remote controls, what universal RC do you use?

I've put off buying one, but here's something upcoming that ... wait for it ... can be used with an iPod Touch or iPhone.

The Ultimate Remote Control Is Here!

Logitecg Harmony Remotes are very easy to use and are not expensive.

    I use the Harmony 550 or 525.

I also use Logitech Harmony remotes, theyre user friendly, very easy to program and the cool thing about it is you can program how you want to control various equipment with a click of a button, just like a macro program in excel :)

I just use a generic RCA universal remote. Works on the TV and the DVD player. I can't seem to access that particular page.

we have the old Sony touch-screen remote control for just about anything Sony in the house. It's stashed away somewhere in the house. It's just about the size of half a netbook, and an old b/w backlit LCD screen. It's also programmable for anything else - including our remote controlled electric fan.

found the pic. Now I remember - its our old Sony Integrated Remote commander.

Sony's VL600 learning remote commander does the trick for me for P1.5T:

Basic multi-brand remote commander with learning function.
    • Learning feature makes it possible to control AV devices, and any device using an infrared remote, including air conditioners and lighting
    • With 12 One-touch System Control functions (macros)
    • Memory Backup Function
    • Compatible with most major brands
    • Easy operation of on-screen menu for DVD and VCR

speaking of remotes, does the HP RC6 Mobile remote (express card) work only with HP models? Isnt Express Card standard supposed to be generally compatible with most other brands of computers?

he he he....I'm not sure that will be appreciated by lady muggers. ;) Ahhh.....seriously, let's be more sensitive and skip this type of humor, which is obviously meant to ridicule the fairer sex.

My apologies, it was never intended to ridicule anyone moreso the females in particular. Its a Married humor thing. No sexism intended. My wife laughed a lot when she saw it and so did i. Maybe we should lighten up a bit. Nonetheless, ill take your advice and be more sensitive next time. Relax, have a brewski man. ;-)

    sorry OT.
