Hey, has anyone heard any news on Sims 2? I heard a rumor that it was going to blow Sims out of the water ...
No daw... it's a completely new thing, where the Sims actually remember things so, they have memories and stuff. They also have babies and everyone actually grow up (and old)!!! We can't wait... Want to know more about it! hmmm...
Sims tdbur, I saw some sims from Cyberzone in megamall... forgot the name of the store though... makikita mo naman yung MAC logo na asa shelf e.
dude go to ATC... on the top floor of the new wing.. they sell mac games at this store across globe. I can't recall the name at the moment since I haven't been there since I left... :haha:
DataBlitz is the name of the store ... ... that sells original Mac and PC games. AFAIK, they have branches in Shangri La, Alabang Town Center, Rockwell, and Megamall Cyberzone, and of course the branch in Park Square, which happens to be the only branch that also carries console games (Xbox, PS2, etc)
Oh cool, my sis in law Kristine just pointed me to The Sims Webpage... find out more about the game there! Plus, it has some sneak peeks of The Sims 2 ... dying with anticipation!
I just saw Sims 2 at the mall over the weekend... looks pretty good... the PS2 has a Sim based game as well
Got this piece of news from a friend in San Fo: Sims 2 will definitely be released for Mac OS X; release date is May, 2005, word is that it will have pretty steep requirements, and is not expected to work on Macs running below 1 Ghz... ( so I guess that means it won't run on my Chiclet... )
I understand that the Sims 2 characters can actually play The Sims 1 on their computers within their world, in real time - sort of like a game-within-a-game. Cool.
the sims in sims2 have DNA too. according to the site you can do your own genetic engineering over generations. COOL!
Wow... So that means I can actually use the Sims to "predict" what my future kiddos will look like... All I havta do is to input my face and... waitaminute, baka mabasag yung LCD ng Mac 'ko niyan... Huwag na. On a semi-serious note, Aspyr has confirmed its May 2005 release for the Mac version, and has also released the preliminary (assumed minimum) system requirements for the game, listed as follows: Mac OS X 10.3.4 or later PowerPC G4/G5, 1GHz or faster 256MB RAM (512MB recommended 4.2 Gigabytes of free HD space ATI Radeon 8500/nVidia GeForce 2 or better 32MB Video RAM DVD-ROM For more info, visit the Aspyr Sims 2 mini-site here. I'm excited; can't wait, must find a way to get an iMac G5... [Edited on 10-24-2004 by wari_aktiv]
We have a PC here in the house so I'm able to play Sims 2. It's a HUUUUUGE improvement over the first game. The sims have facial expressions now, and when they play the piano you actually see their fingers hitting those keys! Should you decide to have a baby, you'll see your sim's tummy getting bigger as time passes, and when the baby arrives, he/she transitions to a toddler before turning into a kid. One of the more amusing things I've seen is that when your sim watches TV, you can see sims in the tv shows doing commercials, talk shows, etc. The gameplay's more complicated because you now have to track your sim's motivations along with the other elements (relationships, needs, etc), but it's easy to learn IMO. The only drawback of Sims 2 is that your sims will grow old and eventually die.
