If the two clubs cannot agree a fee, then it will be determined by a tribunal." . where do u think ronaldinho will play this coming season? should lampard stay in chelsea or reunite with mourinho? do u think ronaldo should go to madrid? or better stay in manchester i would say that he better stay in manchester, cos we dont like him in madrid
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours very sad that my favourites Kaka and AC Milan turned up nothing last season! Haven't been following international club football of late. Is ronaldinho's contract with Barça through? I think Lampard is okay even without Mourinho. As for CR, yeah stay in ManU. Don't want him polluting any other club. I liken him to Kobe, meaning he's really good but I don't like him much.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Chelsea could be the busiest among the English clubs with a new Manager and the Russian oligarch's deep pockets, they are linked to almost every player on the dailies. Robinho, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Arshavin and the lot are just some of the mentioned links. However, I think the biggest story of this summer is still the Ronaldo Madrid-United saga. As for me, it's obvious from my avatar where my allegiance lies, so I wouldn't mind one bit if Ronaldo does pack his bags and jet to the Bernabeu. As for Liverpool, the Gareth Barry deal is taking longer than expected and I do hope there is truth to the Robbie Keane-Crouch swap plus cash rumours because I really do rate Keane and I think he would be an excellent partner for Torres. If those deals go through plus a couple more players in and we could be set for a challenge.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours im a madrista! but liverpool is my team in epl too i want david villa there since harry kewell wont be extending his contract anymore villa and torres in front, perfect combination but i think villa wont leave valencia right now. i rather have kaka in bernabeu than ronaldo, i agree with evilplan, hes really good but hate him like kobe and pierce!!!hehehee
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours That would indeed be a dream tandem but (1) Villa is probably staying at the Mestalla and (2) if he does go, he'll probably go for no less than £25M and even up to £30M+ , which may price out Liverpool. Silva is another possibility for the Rafa but IMO seems a bit lightweight and the risk of him struggling to adapt to the English game may discourage Rafa. Bentley from Blackburn could be anotherwide option but is a bit overpriced and may be heading to Spurs. I hate Ronald like the plague as well but I'm a big Kobe fan
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours 3 for 3 CR haters thus far. I mean it's not at all the quality of his game, just the fact that he likes to spend his time driving around and sleeping with hookers plus that smug look of his. so annoying. my gf thought he was hot until she read about the hookers hahaha. Oh you Reds. Everywhere I go it's all Liverpool followers. But I won't be talking smack since my Milan boys were quiet all season.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Man City's making noise 'bout their desire to sign Ronaldinho. As he's in Barca's bad graces, the Premiereship must look pretty attractive. Last I heard Chelsea dug into their deep pockets and signed Deco. So two Barca stars might be playing in England. Am not a big fan of Cristiano R., but with Ronaldinho's game going the way of the world's economy, he is probably the most entertaining player in the game today. Am sticking with Arsenal this coming season. Look for Fabregas to have a break out year! Liverpool will probably give 'em a run for the money though courtesy of Torres' continued improvement.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Yay Ransom fellow Arsenal fan here since 1998. Liverpool got very very lucky against Arsenal in the Champs League this year. pfft. with Hleb and maybe Adebayor out, Arsenal will need another new striker.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours I think Arsenal also has to find a replacement for Flamini. That's quite a big hole he left at the middle of Arsenal's formation.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours I don't hate Cristiano Ronaldo, but I pity the fool! No player is bigger than his club. I'm expecting huge signings from the Eastlands and Stamford Bridge soon... Thanksin's attempting to unfreeze a billion pounds worth of assets, Roman just got richer from the oil hike... Don't forget Rafa's Spanish Armada. And forever 5th Tottenham... I'm also expecting an extensive overhaul from Milan. It's about time they retire the old timers. Barca and Madrid? Always under the limelight every transfer window. It's really nice to have Mourinho back coaching. It's highly unlikely that Lampard will make the transfer to Inter anytime soon as he's almost always assured of a place in the Starting XI, but it's getting a bit too crowded in the middle lately... Ronaldinho... He either makes the risky superstar move to Man City to secure a regular first team playing time, a bid for a national team recall, or join an established but rebuilding Milan with Kaka and face competition for stardom... Or he can go back home to Brazil to start rebuilding again, like Adriano. He just went down hard last season, he needs a lot of proving this time to get it back. Yes, I think Arsenal needs another finisher (Martins? Sta Cruz?...), and a holding mid (Yaya Toure?). They always choke at the turn of the year. I thought we had it last season... I'd like to see Eduardo, RVP, Rosicky, and the rest of the team play this coming season, injury-free, and Cesc and Nasri! So much for the Ade-I-love-football drama...
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Lampard's fate at Stamford Bridge may be dependent upon whether Chelsea's new boss Scolari wants him in his team. With Ballack's form, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Chelsea use him more instead of Lampard. There's even rumours that Scolari's Brazilian connection might be able to tempt Ronaldinho or Kaka or Robinho to come to London, if that happens then surely Lampard would be off to the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium (Inter fans don't like to call it the San Siro) to reunite with Jose.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Robinho's agent believes that the player is being undervalued by Real Madrid and claimed that he has held talks with Chelsea in London about a move to Stamford Bridge. I dont want him to leave madrid and hope madrid wont sell him.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Arsenal and Cesc Fabregas fan here (Viva Espana!). I'm praying for greater things for the Gunners in '08-'09. Good first half last season but, sadly, they lost stride against the Big Boys (ManU and Chelsea) in the second half. The North Londoners are rumored to be pursuing Mallorca's Dani Guiza, which makes Emmanuel Adebayor's departure increasingly likely.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours River Plate's highly-rated Colombian international Radamel Falcao Garcia is being chased by both Real Madrid and Manchester United...
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Some news bits: - Peter Crouch could be on his way to Fratton Park as various sources have been reporting that Portsmouth £10M bid for the lanky striker has been accepted by Liverpool. - Arsenal have been given a 'take-it-or-leave-it' £30m offer by Barcelona for striker Emmanuel Adebayor. The Gunners are prepared to sell the Togo international and have targeted Blackburn's Roque Santa Cruz as a possible replacement. - Liverpool are set to sign their third capture this summer with Palmeiras goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri set for a move to Liverpool, according to his agent. This follows the signing of fullbacks Phillip Degen and Italian Andrea Dossena. - Manchester City and Chelsea could lose the chase for Ronaldinho's signature as Italian side AC Milan is closing in on the Brazilian.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours i just wanna share the latest pic of ronaldinho, not really in good shape, bloated ronaldinho hehehe Ronaldinho has rejected the offer of Manchester City despite them offering twice as much as Milan.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Chelsea have reportedly made an "astronomical" offer for Brazilian superstar Kaka according to AC Milan VP Adriano Galliani. The offer was believed to be around £50M.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours Rafa has ruled out a move for Valencia's Spanish striker David Villa. really would love to see him play there but i think they just cant afford him.
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours I may be one of a few Liverpool supporters who don't really want Villa at Anfield. As much as I rate the guy, we already have a very good striker in Torres and would rather see that money spent on a support-striker or a couple of attacking wide players. Don't get me wrong, Villa is a very good player but I think that him coming to Liverpool would be to the detriment of Torres. I wouldn't want to see a situation like in the Euros where Aragones put Villa in the striker' srole with Torres playing wide. Torres is at his best when played as a lone striker with a couple of wide forwards or a support-striker right behind him (Keane would be perfect for Liverpool). Speaking of Liverpool, Rafa has completed the signing of his new fullbacks: Phillip Degen (left and Andrea Dossena (right)
Re: Football 08-09 gossip and rumours but they still need a good scorer to help torres, specially crouch is out of the team. i still do think they will play good together like what they did in euro08. doesnt matter who will be the sole striker, as long as it will make the team better. and i dont really judge villa on what he did on euro 08 only. still hoping...
