Can't really trust online stores for swift updates. Maybe you'd have to go to gilmore to see the discounts from store to store.

    Reviews are out!

My initial thought was... hmm, awesome performance gains and thermals, but I'm sure they had to compromise somewhere else. Power consumption.

But the Performance-per-Watt on this really shines in 1440p and 4k resolutions. Obliterates any existing gaming cards on the market (I think even including the Titan RTX).

Anyway for those getting one, enjoy! (y)

Aside from Youtubers and "influencers" is it possible for normal people (like me) to even get one???

Hahaha.. Did you guys see PC Worx post? They made it available.. but for bidding! And with a 1000 buy in just to bid. What a bunch of greedy b@$t@rD$. Hahahaha...

Going back to my initial point prior to the launch, PC Parts in the Philippines are not subject to the "consumer" friendly initiatives. Oh.. did anyone actually get to buy a SUPER discounted 20 series? Hahaha.. where did all the stock go?

I lost all interest in buying the 3080 after finding out that scalpers are using bots to buy all the Founder's Edition stock online and then reselling them on ebay at crazy markup prices.

All of these shenanigans, made me appreciate my current graphics card even more which I realized is still sufficient for my gaming needs. I'll upgrade when things settle down. No rush.

With the Ber months upon us, it's really going to be hard to get the 3070/3080 anywhere. Still patiently waiting for the RDNA2 cards... so, buyers, get your 30series cards aplenty so that there'll be more of AMD GPUs readily available at launch which you won't need. :D

In all seriousness though, knowing news like these are quite infuriating:

What a load of bull crap, saying it was a “better way to serve us”. Haha..
They’re cooking in their own oil now based on the comments on that page.

A leaked image from china showing devs/investors the heirarchy among 30 series and 20 series. Seems that the 3070 won't be as strong as the 2080Ti.

Whats most interesting is, there's a 3060 that's supposedly as strong as the 2080/2080 super. Looks like that will be their ace card come oct.

Seems like there's a big problem with regards to the 3080/3090 cards as of now.

To summarize, a cheap capacitor made it prone to crashing from time to time (when overclocked), unless you're buying ASUS TUF or MSI cards.

Oops, yes, that too. I'm actually surprised that EVGA used cheaper parts than the other brands. I've been an EVGA user for a long time as they're always the recommendation by friends and never had a problem with them.. It seems that they botched this one. I guess it is MSI for me for either Nvidia or Radeon for my next GPU.

Maybe it's plausible that the aforementioned EVGA card is positioned as an entry-level model? It seems like the higher-end models have the MLCC arrays, e.g. Gigabyte's Gaming OC cards have all cheap POSCAPs while apparently the Aorus ones have two MLCC arrays like the FE.

Speaking of which... imagine DIY-ing a card that's won the silicon lottery by replacing all of the cheap ones with MLCCs. Looks like a new avenue for extreme overclockers.

It's weird for me to consider EVGA to produce an entry card level, but I don't know, I might be blinded with all the praise it gets on the net; like if you get Nvidia, get EVGA (and if you're getting Radeon, get Sapphire) kind of conversations.

Replacing the MLCC on a nice 3090 is not for the faint heart lol. But yeah, if it's possible, someone will do it. :ROFLMAO:

I haven't been following the news about the RTX 3080 CTDs. Is there any confirmation that the ASUS TUF RTX 3080 affected by this flaw?

From this picture, it's safe to assume that they're affected.

    Slightly off-topic:

Does anyone have a reliable go-to place for PC repairs in Makati? Helping a friend. While I could help them myself, the urgent matter makes it more prudent to seek a shop that can fully devote time to it.
