I've gotten addicted to running (or, as Nike puts it, a runaholic). This is thanks to the Nike + iPod solution. I'm now wondering how many of my fellow PhilMUG members have the sport kit and have gotten up and running as well. I've done four 5k runs in the past 10 days. I would've run more if not for a recent bout with the flu. My inventory: Nike+iPod sport kit ($29) Nike+ Sport Armband ($29) 2GB iPod nano (2nd gen) ($149) Nike Air Equalon+ ($130) Drive: Nike+ Original Run by The Crystal Method ($9.99) Total cost is $346.99, or P17,350. However, thanks to a couple of friends who gave me great discounts on a couple of the main items, I saved a couple thousand pesos. I'll be posting a review soon. So, who else is the the club? Wanna challenge? Or maybe we should all team up.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club Ahem. Partner. I have a run scheduled this Saturday actually but I'm not ready to challenge you just yet. My inventory: Nike +iPod sport kit Nike + Sport Armband 8GB iPod nano (2nd Gen) Nike Shoe Wallet See you after I have something to brag about.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club i also plan to run more often this year... but i'm still recuperating from my bout with the flu. talaga namang may inventory pa. here's mine. Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club Is this available locally? My running shoes are still in good condition and I'm not so keen on buying a new pair just for the Nike+ feature.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club currently using my new balance and I already bought the nike sport kit shoes for my wife but don't like to get new shoes. If this is available locally kindly advice especially the marware
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club This is awesome! I'm not a fan of Nike's for their running shoes either (New Balance FTW!). Thanks for the heads up!
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club i don't think the marware item is available here. maybe we can ask the local apple retailers to sell more of these third party products.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club PowerMac will be carrying the Marware pouch soon. In fact, they may have it in stock already.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club oh so you can actually wear the sensor outside of the shoe! i thought it has to be worn inside since it needs to "feel" you stepping on the ground.... you know by stepping you will be "pushing a button" inside thanks
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club Thanks for the tip elbert, will check later at Powermac Megamall. Crossing my fingers now.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club I suggest you give them a call first. I suspect it's available at the new Greenbelt 3 store, where the sport kit is being sold as well.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club So, who's gettng the Nike Speed+? http://podophile.com/2007/01/17/nike-without-the-ipod-new-product-info-leaked/
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club I use the nike setup because of the audio part of it . Voice prompts and of course the music. but for serious running I rather go with the Polar RS 800 Sd (http://www.polarusa.com/Products/cs/rs800sd.asp?cat=consumer) verus the Nike Speed+ with has alot more features plus i have been using Polar for years and it has not let me down yet.
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club I called Powermac Megamall, Powerplant and Greenbelt 3. NOT available. However, Greenbelt informed me that they sampled it already; I asked for the price and availability and they did not know yet. Oh well, any MUGger in the U.S. coming home soon who could buy this item for interested folks here?
Re: The Nike + iPod Runners Club will an airmax360 and ipod video go with this? what is still needed? TIA!
