The amazing keyboard is good for more than just typing, you can also use it to navigate. “What we need is the kind of flexibility of a desktop computer — where you can flow from one app to another. We need a new metaphor. We imagined a deck of cards you can shuffle and sort even in one hand.” It’s kind of like the browser ‘tab’ switching mode in mobile Safari. -Exchange OTA sync — it’s got Exchange! Re: The New Palm Pre And it's exclusive to Sprint network for now, others to follow (in the US and the rest of the world in HSDPA, 3G version)....coming soon! And then their stocks went up rapidly after the announcement. source: Engadget
Re: The New Palm Pre I like the gesture and wireless charging capabilities. Palm Touchstone charging dock
Re: The New Palm Pre Finally, some *real* innovations from Palm... Time will tell if this is going to be Palm's "next coming" or a mere "post-mortem twitch". As my favorite PhilMUG Mod would say: You can never can tell...
Re: The New Palm Pre sprint took this again.. but i love the specs and the screen.. +3 points for me!
Re: The New Palm Pre what OS does it run on? if it runs an iteration of the palm OS and all the apps that went with it, I'm sold!!!
Re: The New Palm Pre Previews are all over engadget and gizmodo. I love the UI, it looks so smooth and fluid. It could be better with a bigger screen like 3.5 or 4 inches.
Re: The New Palm Pre This is something I have been waiting for a long time. Looks like Palm is finally doing it right again. Hope it will make its way to other parts of the world fast and has great sync to our macs. Extremely promising!
Re: The New Palm Pre it got a new os - web OS I think if I am right. I do hope it is backward compatible
Re: The New Palm Pre UI operates like iPhone. It looks like an iPhone with a keyboard and much more. Owning these two at the same time won't be difficult due to similarities.
Re: The New Palm Pre i stayed up last night watching the live blog on engadget - this thing is pretty slick! the first ever gadget i bought with my own money was a palm tungsten t3, so i've got an emotional attachment to the company. i love the UI, but love the touchstone even more! THAT is a great new innovation by palm!
Re: The New Palm Pre Can't remember the last time I stayed up late for a Palm keynote. At least this was worth waiting for! They better come up with a GSM version though.
Re: The New Palm Pre I've been waiting for a Palm that has 3G capabilities. Hopefully this unit can accommodate all the old medical programs. Its just time for Palm to come out with a newer model. They have been so left behind.
