After just two days of using it, here are two of the most important reasons why it's worth owning one: 1. It keeps my iPhone in my pocket. The watch tells me whether that beep is coming from a loved one or a spam text offering a loan (and if you're on Globe, I'm sure you get a lot). It tells me if that email is something I need to read, or something I can forego. So I get to go about doing the more important things, rather than having to pull out my phone every now and then. 2. The activity goals (Stand, Move, Exercise) will entice you to be more active even if you're not a fitness buff.
My watch shipped in one day got it Tuesday afternoon. Original estimate was 1st week of June. 38mm BSB. Now I wait for my friend to come back from HK.... in the first week of June!
the Apple Watch Sport is now unofficially available at Lazada at 25,600.... Apple Watch Sport unofficially lands in PH - YugaTech | Philippines, Tech News & Reviews Apple Watch Sport 38mm Silver Aluminum Case with White Sport Band (White) | Lazada PH
Rumored to be available at Apple Retails Stores this June http://www.macrumors.com/2015/05/19/apple-watch-retail-stores-june/
It lasts a long time. I usually put it on fully charged at 11am to 11pm. Depending on my usage battery will be around 60%.
Noticed speed improvements. It looks like the lag has been improved -- still not instant but better. Also, the default calendar view has changed to the "Day" view. If you hold down, you can change between List and Day views. Not sure if that was there before since after the update, it deafaulted to Day view when it was on List before.
Interesting question. I'll try this and will let you know. So far the Apple Watch has inspired me to be active. And like most of you, the phone stays in the pocket until a really urgent notification comes up. The battery life is pretty surprising---my normal usage is from 6am-9pm and noticed my battery has 20-30% charge left at the end of the day.
Very Tempted to purchase the watch online but still hoping DW and Beyond the Box will have the stocks when the 2nd wave of release by Apple comes out!
Im at work from 12pm till 9pm. From normal standing and walking, i check notifications a few times a day and may open an app or 2 for a few seconds. No calls or text messages made on the watch today. I fully charge it before wearing for the day.
i just finished a memo recommending that our beat patrol officers be made to wear the new Apple Watch/es to go along with their iPhones in lieu of purchasing Harris mobile communications transceivers which cost an amazing Php143,000.00 each... with that amount, both AW and iPhones can be purchased, and still have some more left to buy, well, new patrol boots...
It seems I have not explored my watch yet, but what is this watch face with the apple logo? Looks good
Apple Watch face is called color. To add the apple logo follow directions below. http://www.redmondpie.com/add-apple-logo-monogram-to-apple-watch-clock-face-heres-how/
@coffeeboy -- the Monogram setting can be changed under Clock in the watch app. I was looking for a Giants logo but couldn't find one so I've also using the Apple logo...
