To help streamline the forum, I have created a new thread for all Micro Four Third users. Regardless of your brand- be it an Olympus EP1/2 series or Panasonic G series, please post your thoughts and shots plus the settings here.

Some guidelines were given to us regarding posting in the Philmug photography forum. Let us try our best to follow them and help in improving and making our stay here more enjoyable.

Here are the guidelines as listed in the announcement thread.

    a. Do not use these threads as a chat room/IM venue. Proper infractions will be given for unnecessary chatter.

    b. Refrain from posting one-liner comments like"Wow. Master!", "Ang Galing in iDol!", "Cool Wallpaper!" and the like. Meaningful or more substantial comments are more welcome though. (I like your shot because of the color blah, blah, etc.) Infractions may be given, and one-liner comments will be deleted.

    c. Please avoid cross-posting photos. Members are urged to use the Report if they see a member cross posting images. Infraction will be given counting to cross posting violation.

Thanks for your cooperation and hope to see all your wonderful µ4/3s images here :)

Re: The Micro Four-Thirds (µ4/3s) Thread

Folks, for the benefit of everybody who will be browsing/participating in this thread, let's post the gear used in taking our shots, including settings employed, PP work done, etc. That way, we can be in awe while learning at the same time. ;)

The old threads (Lumix, bokeh, best shot, etc.) have been locked and will most probably be archived. This is all part of the "reboot" that's taking place in photo-heavy threads.

Toby, the old thread were closed and archived already and since this is a new thread, I think we can post some old shots here to start the ball rolling so to speak.

    Hi Folks...

Here are some shots using the Leica 45mm Macro-Elmarit on the GF1:

The photo above shows the "eagle in flight" figurine with the keyboard and magic mouse to give a sense of proportion. The photo below is a closer view of the eagle:

    Settings: P/ Standard/auto ISO; aperture was actually full-open at 2.8, 1/60

Good start so far, folks! Camera used is there, settings are there, PP notes are there...

incrediblue even gave a brief explanation of his photo, which I would encourage other members to do so as well.

Incrediblue, what's the magnifying ratio for the 45mm? Is it 1:1?

Me too Toby :) Either that or a new one from Olympus with AF as good as Panasonic's and better LCD resolution :)
