    Mid 2012 non-retina MBP 15", 16gb RAM, 1tb SSD. MacOS 10.13.2.

10.13.3 never showed up in app store updates. So I downloaded the .dmg file from Apple. When I clicked install a popup said it could not on my machine. It's pointing me to a document about installing on fusion drives. But I have an SSD, and am already on APFS.

I decided to just skip this update and not force the issue. But I'm curious as to why this is happening.

My mid-2010 MacPro is still on ElCap. Was planning to upgrade to HiSierra but one of my more important apps is only compatible up to Sierra. Is there anything on Sierra that makes it a must to upgrade for my MacPro?

Hello! I badly need your help. I just had a sierra update and restarted my macbook but it won’t boot. It is currently displaying the apple logo and 100% indicator (a boot loop?). What should I do? MBP early 2011 user here. Thanks!

I'm in the process of finally upgrading my daughter's early 2011 MBP 13" (2.7gHz, i7, dual core, 8gb RAM) to an SSD. But it's still on Yosemite. AFAIK, Sierra is the last compatible Mac OS for it. Should I stay with Yosemite or go for Sierra?

    Thanks in advance.

Best first to upgrade to El Capitan which was the OS version after Yosemite unless there is something in Sierra that is critical for your use.
