Thanks Shaft, Here's the Vapor Comp features and material: VAPOR COMP for all iPhone® 4 models The Vapor COMP is the newest edition to the Vapor family. The COMP features a high impact injection molded polycarbonate cap to prevent any loss in signal from the "Death Grip" problem. It features a CNC machined aluminum frame that has been precisely fine tuned to accommodate aftermarket peripherals and audio connectors. The aluminum frame is enhanced with a TPR elastomer rubber grip on the side of the case. This increases the feel and ergonomics of the Vapor COMP case. yup, the vapor comp is of the highest quality materials among most cases in the market. My reply beforehand was in regards to the "Back Plate" i used. Its a brushed aluminum coat type i got from you way back. I posted a pic using this backplate instead of the Steve Jobs Backplate Edition i posted earlier than said post. edit: i just back read, hmmm he didn't actually specify what "Aluminum/steel" he was referring to. I assumed it was the backplate. Nonetheless, Either way - he should be satisfied w both answers
I apologize for any confusion I might have caused. Yes, I was asking about the backplate. My thoughts exactly, I bet that looks awesome side-by-side an MBP or a bare iPad2. Great mod you got there. Thanks a lot for your replies Shaft and Lemirand, you've both been very helpful.
^It's not that bad, really. Your phone looks ready to take on Sparta! So which of those cases are scratch-proof? I mean, okay, we use cases to protect our phones from getting scratches/nicks, pero kung gasgas-magnet naman yung case, pangit/madungis din tingnan yung phone. Sent using Tapatalk
Mine's Element Case Composite Formula 4. Bought it from Applewerkz Alabang earlier. Took me time to decide which one to buy, Formula 4 or the Vapor Comp Stealth. I chose Formula 4 because of the overall protection it gives to my phone and I like the matte finish and the carbon fiber plate at the back. And of course, cheaper.
noticed a small opening for the camera and flash, have you tried flash photography with this case on?
happy to pass it on to you bro.. by the way, here's the cactus case i told you about.. precision laser-carved aluminum skin with rubber side linings so no signal degradation..
I love the look of the sgp case neo hybrid 2s on my iphone. My gripe with it though is that I can't use the apple vga adaptor while it's on
I was planning to get Speck Candyshell kaso very prone to scratches daw. Looking now on getting a PixelSkin HD, Switcheasy Eclipse or a Magpul Field Case Any good place to shop for cases in MOA? (except PMC)
Any case out there that doesn't scratch easily? A pristine iPhone inside a scratch-magnet case just doesn't look nice at all.
SGP Neo Hybrid EX/EX 2s. Had the 1st gen hybrid ex on my iPhone 4 for more than a year and it still looked good and scratchless.
Currently using it and its quite fine and its stylish. Keeps the iphone thin. In terms of protection, i think it offers ample protection but not enough for drops. Top and bottom areaa are quite open. Check out technoodling.net for their review
