    Specs:

    - new APS-C 16 megapixel incorporating a new filter array and the company’s proprietary EXR processor technology
    - Three new lenses: 18mm (27mm equivalent) f/2.0, 35mm (53mm equivalent) f/1.4 and 60mm (90mm equivalent) f/2.4
    - Responsephoto says the Camera+35mm lens kit will cost 1.300 Euro. That’s actually just a bit higher than the Fuji X100 price. The other two lenses will cost 600 Euro each.
    - Responsephoto says the sensors name is X-Trans! R. writes that Fuji took some ideas from the classica film technology to create the new sensor which will beat the image quality of all current fulflrame sensors!
    - There is no Anti Aliasing filter on the sensor.
    - The lenses are made of metal.
    - The camera has the new X-mount. The lens mount acutally goes a little bit “inside” the body! It’s
    - The viewfinder is hybrid (optical and electronic). The optical viewfinder changes the view depending on the kind of prime lens you sue. This again is an idea coming from the Contax G2!
    - Other incredible new thing: The autofocus sensor is…external! There is a special AF sensor on the camera body!

    Re: Fuji XPro-1 ~ New X-Mount System

Is this real? :O I've been eyeing to purchase the x100, but got turned down by its slow AF and the lack of interchangable lenses. If this gets announced, I'd definitely grab one of these at launch! :)

    Re: Fuji XPro-1 ~ New X-Mount System

This is for real, my friend. I also can't believe that Fuji will be responding quickly to consumers' demand of interchangeable lens system. I'm now having second thoughts as to purchasing the NEX-7. The first lenses introduced by Fuji is very tempting. Let's wait for the official announcement. :D

This is why I"m not yet upgrading to a GX-1 or NEX-7. But price is over 1,000 USD for the body alone if reports are true. :(

if Fuji's claim is true that it will beat the image quality of all current full frame sensors then this is really, really exciting.

Hmm, I doubt that the XPro-1 will beat the D4 (which has just been announced now incidentally) :)

is the $1699 price tag official already? if this indeed will produce better images as compared to full frame cameras, i will probably sell my dlsr already and just get this one.

    Very doubtful, especially in low-light.

Might be the new APS-C king though.

This looks amazing. 35mm 1.4! :O Gotta see the reviews and the image quality if it can really rival full frame cameras especially in low light.
