    I heard Kodak is pulling out its struggling film business soon. Polaroid officially pulled out its instamatic film business last week.

    Thanks danielg. I've been aspiring for a Leica M for many years now and finally took the plunge this year. I must say it is as good as they say.

    pelican, I doubt that film manufacture will disappear completely. It'll just become a niche product. The same way high end audiophiles prefer tube amps and vinyl, I think there'll always be a market (however small) for film photography. There's just something about analog media that will always be different from digital. However, I do enjoy using both film and digital for different objectives.

    To this day, I simply cannot get over the fact that Leica M8 is an awesome camera, and the possibility of being able to take awesome photos with it as well. simply, fabulous!
