I have a question for everybody. I have a 15in retina MBP and it has apple care. I took it to Power Mac to service and replace parts. However, they cannot replace the battery as their diagnostic tools indicate that it is not due for replacement. But the cycles on my battery is now over 1000 and the consumption time from my first day of use to 2015 goes from 6 hours on 100%-5% charge; and now the consumption time now goes to 2.5 hours on 100%-5% charge. I want to know if Power Mac's reasoning is valid? I really need to replace my battery.
hi everyone! I need to replace my macbook 13in aluminum unibody (2008) battery. any suggestion where I can buy an original one? thanks!
Dear all, I have 5yr old MacBook Air. The battery of my laptop is expanding. And It needs replacement. Any advice and suggestions? I just cant imagine if i don't notice the battery problem it might anytime leads to a possible explosion?
I think a battery is considered a consumable part which is normally not covered by AppleCare. Replacements are cheap and locally available on eBay.ph. Just make sure you get the exact model.
"MacBook Owners - Your battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 1000 complete charge cycles. The one-year warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. Apple offers a battery replacement service for all MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro notebooks with built-in batteries." http://www.apple.com/batteries/service-and-recycling/ Try another service center. My suki for all Applecare service is MSI Digicare in Libis. They have a direct line to Apple Asia, and can commit to a repair on-site (unlike stores which cannot commit on the spot because they have to send it to a service center). Replacement parts usually take a week to arrive.
hello everyone! can anyone recommend a reputable apple battery vendor/store within the Cubao Area? i have a 2013 13 inch macbook pro. thanks!
AB-Blanc in Cubao is my go-to guy for repairing my Macbook. He also sells batteries. Just look for his page on Facebook for contact details

Hey guys, I'm looking for a battery replacement for my MBP mid 2010. I had it replaced by sencolink before. After 4 years, it's still working and has 1080 cycles. I'm not sure if I can still get an original Apple battery from sencolink. Wonder if Newertech Nupower sold by Ynzal is a good replacement battery? From your experience, how many years will it last? Thanks!
Hi I have a macbook air 13" 2015 model. The battery seem to run out even if the MacBook is on standby mode. How will i know how many cycles has it undergone? Thanks.
Click on the black apple on the top left > click on "About This Mac" > Click on "System Report" > under "Hardware", click on "Power" > Under "Health Information, read "Cycle Count".
Hi guys, it's been a while since I last visited and posted here. I would like to consult on local stores where I can buy a replacement battery for my mid-2010 Macbook Pro (13-in model). It's still working based on my needs and I thought of extending it further with a battery replacement. Thanks in advance.
Had my battery replaced also. But my unit is mid-2010 15" Macbook Pro. First, called Ynzal. They advised me that there will be a waiting time since battery will be ordered online. Decided to order it myself and install it. Macsales.com has tutorial video on how to do the installation.
Thanks lesterjune. I saw this site while googling and tried reaching to them thru email. They're responsive and has contacted me already via SMS. I tried searching for them if they are legit and saw two helpful posts with good feedback to them. Any fellow Muggers who purchased from them already? They are based in Eton Centris if I'm not mistaken (near QC Ave). https://pcpartsph.com/
guys, how much do you think is the battery replacement for the macbook 12in early 2015 model? the first macbook 12 model? I can't use the laptop anymore if its not plugged in the wall. T_T
Sadly its glued down. If you don't have applecare, I don't think apple will accept out of warranty replacement. See ifixit if you can DIY you can buy a kit from them.
