Hmm. The good news is that this is a direct sequel to T2. T3, TS and TG will be omitted from the timeline.

“There is no fate darker than an aging Terminator.” - alternate movie line.

Also an aging Sarah Connor apparently. Just how long the timeline is since T2 will be evident in the delivery of T800’s Hasta La Vista into Yo’ Bro.

It's weird that the gap is in real time, in that Dark Fate in 2019 takes place 27 years (okay it should be 28 but maybe they originally planned to release the movie last year) after Judgement Day in 1991. So since it's real time, Sarah Connor looking like she does in the movie isn't out of place. :) By the way, Dark Fate in the Terminator timeline takes place in 2022 (since Judgement Day was set in 1995).

Yes but that would mean Judgment Day didn’t happen on August 29, 1997 if we are to follow the premise of T2 (not T3 where JD did occur after all). So the idea that a time-travelling Terminator from a post-apocalyptic future where JD happened would be far-fetched unless by some fluke it wasn’t time forward but time backward instead. The events, therefore, of Dark Fate evolving in 2022 would likely just be advances in cybernetics and not a break in the time continuum that allowed Terminators from some future, or past, to appear on the present. Or we are made to believe otherwise...

There’s really a lack of bankable action stars when studios are making terminator and Rambo movies 35 years later when the stars are already twice their age

Well, it can't be helped. Those two will always be John Rambo and the T-800 in our hearts and minds (at least those who grew up with their movies). Current crop, we have Dwayne Johnson (not bulletproof yet but he's getting there), Keanu Reeves (don't need to ask if he's bulletproof :ROFLMAO:) and Jason Statham (in nearly the same boat as DJ) although they're not exactly spring chickens.

Didn't you ever wish Sylvester Stallone starred in the Terminator movies instead of Ahnuld? Well, your wish is this deepfake video's command... LOL!

^^ Saw the trailer last night at the moviehouse. Linda Hamilton looks really old! Or did they digitally aged her?

Hmm. It's probably not getting that much buzz. The producers are desperate. Not a good sign.

^At least, this would be the last one with Ah-nold as the T800. Nobody will be watching an 80-year old Terminator by then.

Early reviews have been mostly positive. They're saying that the main protagonists are the female characters, Sarah Connor and Mackenzie Davis' character. They're also saying that it's best Terminator movie since T2 which isn't really saying that a lot since the past 3 movies have been disappointments.

^The reason the last 3 stank was because Sarah Connor wasn’t around, her fate unknown since T2. Bringing her back was the right thing to piece together loose ends. Mackenzie Davis’ character is like a metaphor for T3 where the female Terminator was the one gunning for John Connor’s head. This time Davis is the protector. I believe that made all things in the movie just right.
