Sun Cellular Settings for iPhone 3G.

my boss's iphone 3g wont work with SBW.. wonder what's wrong..

 

rabby..... unlocked? sbw has voice/sms? internet? try minternet, ffband, mbband or leave it blank at apn

 

the_duke... im not sure but i think disabled the mms of those unregistered network

 

@rabby - that happened to me too, but it worked after i reset network settings.

yes. only to registered network is where the mms function wil work unless you j**k your phone which is not allowed to discuss here.

 

how about 3G? I would still want to use that...

 

3G will work but not MMS and internet tethering.

 

Thanks! Though how would i set it up? I tried putting minternet in the apn and leave the username and password blank. when i tried enabling the 3G, it doesn't show the 3G icon nor would able to connect using safari or any application that uses connection. Is there something wrong with my set up?

call sun (200) and ask for your 3g service to be activated. If 3g is not showing up, it means its not active yet.

 

the reset network settings worked for me

 

try sending 4 (the number four) to 230010 to activate your internet services or call them so that they can manually activate it.

i tried this but it says my handset does not support the feature...

 

just call the customer service (dial 200 using your phone), it will be easier.

 

i tried sending 4 to 230010 and called the hotline for activation. but both didn't worked.

i guess i have no future using a sun sim on my iphone...

you can still go directly to any Sun Cellular business center and have it activated there directly.

 

or just tell them to reset as in reset in their switch
