Summarize - a not so well known app in Safari

    Sorry if someone has posted about this before but I did do a search for - Summarize, Services Summarize and Safari Summarize and I found none.

    I stumbled upon this not so well known app within the Services Menu of Safari, it's called- Summarize. What it does is it summarizes a block of selected text for you. So if your not sure whether it's worth your time to read through a long article, you can make your Mac summarize it for you. You can even adjust how much short you want the summary to be from 100% to 1%. Cool!

    That's pretty cool, I tried summarizing a few sites and it works well enough. I'm not sure what I'd use it for in a real-world setting but it's pretty amazing. Thanks for sharing this.

    FYI it also works in TextEdit.

    I will try this out later. Makes me curious what technologies it uses for summarizing articles. Thanks for the tip.

    wow, this is a good find, tested it and it puts out really sensible summary of a long article, thanks!
