our two-year old daughter has shown a lot of interest in computers. my wife and i started out viewing sites like disney, nickelodeon, shrek and nemo with her on our quicksilver g4. we also watch home movies and special features on dvds. i am proud to say she can control mr. mighty mouse and point and click where she wants. in fact, she has taught me a couple of keyboard shortcuts that i never knew existed. we're on the lookout for cool and educational children's software (mac based, of course) to keep her glued on the g4 instead of turning on our ibooks. any suggestions for like-minded philmug parents would be most welcome!
If your Mac can still run OS9 apps, I highly recommend the "Jump Start" series. For a two year old, it will definitely be the Jump Start Pre-school. My kid also enjoyed (but quickly outgrew) the Dr. Seuss Toddler. Both ran under OS 9.
hello, ian. you could look at these apps. though i can't recommend an app yet coz i'm not sharing my mac to my little sister. ~carlo [Edited on 11-15-2005 by sascoordinator]
