anybody know of an app that is similar to what Sound Recorder for Windows does? all the apps I can find only record through the mic. I need something that can record sounds from the computer itself. thanks a lot

I think you guys are missing the point. It's not that he wants to record input, he wants to record output. I use AudioHijack. Depending on what you intend to do, the demo may suffice, or you might want to buy the software.
