    I've always wanted an Android version of the iPod Touch...

    Mm...the major problem with Sony is no streaming service like Spotify or Tidal. They removed Android OS ( after the ZX2) , which killed streaming apps, a major boo boo on Sony. So, their TOTL DAPs like the WM1A (have) and the WM1Z have no streaming service. The same with the DMP Z1, which I use as an end-game transportable player, also does not support streaming apps. One thing going for Sony is their proprietary LDAC (Bluetooth on steroids). So, streaming services can be received by the Sony players using an LDAC equipped device (like some Android phones). It is clumsy (two devices instead of just one.

    So, full circle. Sony can stream Spotify and Tidal once again with this new player/DAP on a standalone basis.

    A welcome development from Sony.
