One area Sony really needs to step up is in the area of a mobile app to control and shoot our cameras. The Playmemory app really S**KS :( no other way around it. Almost all major camera manufacturer have their own mobile app. The one from FUJI is simply awesome. Hopefully Sony will do something about their app. :(

I was about to vent out the same thing. For quite sometime back, I totally abandoned the idea of sending files to my mobile straight from the camera due to this handshake failure. Sucks bigtime indeed like ilang mura na ata inabot ng app na 'to, thinking I test apps/systems for a living, I kept wondering how it passed to production. It made me feel dumb many times despite following simple instructions. I viewed Youtube videos about connectivity and I envy some of them having no issues with sending photos to the app at all. And the NFC method? Zero success rate. smh

The night sky was clear this morning. One of the advantages of living in suburban locations in Metro Manila is that you can see the stars you don't normally see if you're living in Mandaluyong or Makati because of the extreme light pollution.

Hello! My brother is planning to get a Sony a6300 and was looking for a good all-rounder lens aside from the 16-50mm included in the body. Any good suggestions that is not too big to carry around? :)

Probably the best all-rounder in the Sony APS-C e-mount lens is the 18-105mm f/4. So my humble suggestion would be for him to get the A6300 body only and go for the 18-105mm :)

Thank you. A bit expensive. Haha! I guess will settle for the included 16-50mm for now and then save for that one. :)

Sad to say, the A6000 and 16-50 will only produce smartphone quality photos.

Buy body only, and get the 18-105 mm f/4 lens (P24k cash)

Yup, I actually thought of that already. Heck, my Note9 might even beat it. :p

Advised him to get the 18-105mm instead of 16-50mm.

I now remember you now, Sir Jonathan. You did a free PhilMug Christmas Party coverage at Makati, I think, 3 years ago, and as far as I can remember, you were using a Nikon DSLR back then? :)

Yan na si Jonathan. ;) very humble and sobrang bait. Galing pa! Idol din yan, love his style.
Sir @macjobber, if you’re referring to the Christmas party held at the coffee lab/shop in Legapi - Yardstick, he’s using a Fuji XE1/XT1 ata that time. Not really sure what he brought that time, but I think its a Fuji.
