This is exactly what I am researching now. Very timely thread, will definitely visit this regularly.

But let me give some of the bags I am eyeing in no particular order

    1. Waterfield Vitesse Cycling Musette (too few pockets)
    2. Tannery Manila - the Driss and the Anton (both i think have few pockets)
    3. Tumi
    a) Alpha 2
    b) Narita
    c) Anderson
    d)Brooks
    4. Mission Workshop - The Monty (beautiful but too big i think)

I am interested to hear what the others have to recommend.

the MW messenger bags are quite good and sturdy and, best of all, waterproof...but the Monty is actually a tad large for an 11-inch MBA...

Here's a Lowepro sling bag that I use for travel, it's very well designed because all compartments are on one side, so when you need to access them, you just have to put the bag across your chest without worrying that your stuff will fall out.

Not sure about if it'll fit the MBA (biggest compartment fits a 10 inch tablet as per website), will try it out later.

I second the Muzetto, I own one myself and it is one of the nicest little bag I ever owned. Perfect travel companion for my macbook.
