hi guys! would like to ask for your suggestions on a good brand for slim leather wallets for men and women? currently looking at bellroy and big skinny, so if you know or have used them, let me know of your thoughts on their slimness, durability and value for money. thanks in advance! http://bellroy.com/wallets/note-sleeve-wallet?color=java http://bellroy.com/wallets/phone-pocket-plus?color=charcoal
http://www.unbox.ph/style/bellroy-slim-sleeve-wallet/ Nice wallet ☺️ but if you want to have a cheaper option maybe Perry (PowerPee) who makes leather wallets, etc can make a custom built one for you... http://www.philmug.ph/community/threads/powerpees-sleeves.87454/
I have both of those wallets on your post. They are nice and slim indeed. my only complaint is that it fades pretty fast especially the edges of the credit card marks/ impressions.
i have two of these: https://www.gucci.com/au/en_au/pr/m...n/Mens-Accessories/Mens-Wallets/Mens-Billfold W:11cm H:7.5cm D:1cm (empty) W:10cm H:7.5cm D:2cm (filled)
I've been using the Tumi Multi Window Card Case wallet for about 4 years now. Leather still feels good.
Been using slim wallets for years. First, Montblanc, now Braun Buffel. Tips: 1. To preserve its shape, store the wallet in the front pocket of your pants. Keeping them in the back pocket gives it an unsightly curve. 2. Often, I just slip in the peso bills in between the fold, not in the slots, for easy access. One tip to keep the smell of money away from the leather is to sandwich them between cards or receipts. 3. Use Kenneth Cole leather conditioner from time to time to refresh the leather's suppleness and scent.
thanks guys for all the inputs, but we ended up getting saddleback leather wallets instead. we were initially looking at slim wallets but after looking into the other thread, the prices seemed more worth it for the rugged saddlebacks.
Would really love to get a Bellroy. Been thinking of gifting myself of it this coming June. It looks durable, heard/read great reviews and the company has a lot of character.
you may check common thread in greenbelt 5 and facebook, to inquire if they have the wallet you like.
I'm vouching for Bellroy. Been using this slim wallet for over a year now, leather seems to age nicely.
Want to try a bellroy. Is it available locally? I tried the slim wallet from Bradford shoe boutique store in MOA. Slim but only lasted a few months. To solve my problem I looked for a local brand with few slots for the cards to minimize the multiple leather or cloth thickness but asked for one with a slot which could contain several cards. Still looking for a better option though. Dang, I just came from Sydney last week. Didn't know that bellroy is from OZ
as per their website, bellroy is an australian company but their wallets are made in india and china. http://bellroy.com/faqs
bellroy wallets are good. i have the note sleeve, hide n seek, card sleeve, carry-out and the travel wallet. for everyday use, i prefer the note sleeve, and put my extra cards in the card sleeves. the carry-out is too bulky for my taste (looks like a lady's purse), but i like it's removable wallet.
I meant -- the "brand" is from Australia. But good on you for pointing out where it's made. If it were really made in Australia, it would be more expensive....
I am using a small Saddleback billfold wallet and I am very satisfied with it. I will recommend Leatherworks Minnesota and Popov Leather which use leathers from S.B. Foot Tanning Company and Horween respectively. You can also check Etsy for goods from leather artisans who can do custom orders Tanner Goods also make good wallets. I love leather accessories and the secret of a good wallet is in the leather, thread and its construction. If you want soft texture go for Horween CXL leather and if you want something that will develop character over time go for natural vegetable-tanned leather from Hermann Oak.
Plus 1 on bellroy. I bought it abroad while on vacation. I have been using it for 5 months now and I am very happy with it. However, I can't seem to find a local store selling it. Anybody know any?
