Slide.com is giving out Slide app that you could use as both RSS news (with the likes of Gizmodo and Engadget) and photo ticker. It could be viewed as a desktop widget or in fullscreen and its skinable as well. Looks amazing and its free! You can download it here.
So far, I haven't uploaded anything since I'm still learning the features. You could share your Flickr photos though (as slideshow). What attracted me to Slide, is the ability to display text on the feed. No longer needs to get Safari glued on Engadget's or Gizmodo's website. Imagine having eBay or even the PhilMUG Marketplace getting into Slide.
