i've been using skype on my mac to call the pc beside it. it seems pathetic, but i use it to test how the video quality would appear to my friends using pcs. hehe. no probs, so far =)

I've been using Skype 2.0's video conferencing feature ever since the beta came out. There was one instance (with the non-beta version) that it encountered problems. I was running Transmission and iTunes at the same time that I was using Skype. I couldn't make a successful video call but I could make audio calls. It's probably because I didn't have that much bandwidth since I was downloading a number of podcasts and files at the same time.

Not yet. The only app that can do that now on the Mac is iChat.

it's cool, better than the yahoo messenger. tried it calling my sister in the states and she was impressed. there is time delay in video transmission.

Well, I've tried calling my bro in the US, and I got thru very easily. Video was ok. However there are instances in which I cannot start my own video, it says no webcam installed. Pretty weird, a restart did the trick....

well about after almost 3 months of usage, its been great using skype :D

video conferencing with a PC has never been this great for me, thisis also a good alternative for mac users who dont have an isight to do video conferencing with another mac :D (although there are alternatives to this, its not as free :D)
