I use irecord sometimes. You only need an external hard drive. Set the recording time and that's it.

Hi, anybody from Acacia Estates in Taguig here? When we moved in, Cablelink was the only cable provider in our area. Anybody from the same area who knows if Sky Cable is already offered here?

    Thanks.

guys, i'm not sure if this is the proper thread to ask this but just wanted to ask for cable, is it okay to use rg59 cables? unfortunately this is what the contractor installed for our tv outlets. whats funny was the first skycable installer came, he didnt say anything about our cable but since we lack documents to show them installation didnt push thru. for the 2nd installer, thats when they told me i should use rg6, saying they cant install my cable service.

Cable companies use RG6 because it's a bigger pipeline. It's more expensive but with the higher demands of HD, you'll need more copper to deliver the HD signal. If you want thinner, then the way forward is fibre, but not available here yet. Even in the US, only Verizon FiOS, Bell and Virgin use fibre. DirectTV still uses thick copper cables.

    It's 1080i and not 'p'. It's HDMI, yes.

Yes. I'm on Dual Def 999, and I was pleasantly surprised to find it unscrambled over the weekend. :)

Can you sync a skycable digital box to your tv so you won't have to use too many remote controls?

If yes, can someone share how to do it or point me towards where I can get the info? I've been scouting the internet to no avail so far.

Thanks Bro, I may have to switch to SkyCable's Dual-Def service very soon. Destiny Cable is set to transition from Analog to Digital in my area this September (as per the letter I received)
    - Destiny Analog (soon to be Digital) is P550.00/mo so I'm inclined to switch to Sky's Dual-Def plan P549.00
