Singapore has reported a citywide total of 75 cases of COVID19, and three of its newest cases indicate that its patients have never traveled to China recently. This makes the state one of few countries with localized infections, stumping health authorities as to how the virus entered into their mainstream.

At the moment, we don’t have a travel ban to Singapore.

Meanwhile, Taiwan and Macau have less than a hundred cases between them, and most of those infected had traveled to China during the peak of the infection. We imposed a travel ban on both countries. Only recently did we again open travel between us and them.

Mm...ouch. if you are a visitor in Singapore and get sick, prepare your wallet. You are on your own. Check your travel insurance before traveling there.

Singapore’s PM said they’re going to beat the shit out of coronavirus, and I believe them. Without saying shit, of course. I am banking on that because if there’s one country I really really like to return to this year, it’s this. So let’s so it, Singapore. Without the DOH, of course.

^ still OK if you ask me for as long as the trip to Singapore is essential, meaning, returning foreign workers or residents can still gain entry with compliance to safety measures as imposed.

Now, interestingly, I have a classmate on bereavement, who's heading home from SFO to Ilocos via SIN-CRK onboard SIA/TGW this week. So far, there are no specific measures imposed on those flying in from the US but the story isn't the same on his way back to SFO. The nice thing is that for as long as the CRK window remains open for this trip and no further restrictions are set out, he should be able to proceed with his trip as transit passenger with the approval of the Singapore Mission in MNL. I hope that things will improve or at least, nothing will affect his flights *fingers crossed*

mm...If he is a US national, he should have no problem reentering US. Trump has already declared a National Emergency. More travel bans will likely be imposed. Already, they are talking about a full suspension of all US domestic flights. Last time that happened was during 9/11.

^ green card holder if I'm not mistaken. If like PH which stopped domestic trips but still allows international flights, he should be able to regain entry to SFO.

^ Yes. Been trying to puuuuush him to take the earliest flight as much as possible. Even SIN-CRK flights are fast-selling, good thing he managed to buy tickets though he has to spend 2 nights in Singapore for connecting flights.
