What I didn’t do much in Singapore is to splurge on food, native Singaporean fare and delicacies. It was always haute cuisine and less of food courts or home-cooked meals. With my sister-in-law there that might change when we take a 2-day layover after our trip from the USA. And no hotels for a change, just real, wholesome AirBnB quarters in the center of Orchard Road.

Off to Singapore tomorrow--am here in San Diego, visiting our daughter, but have to fly back to Singapore via San Francisco (a 16-hour nonstop flight on United!) for a short meeting, then I fly back here to the US the next day. Maybe I'll check out the new iPhones at Changi--it's all I'll have time for! :(

There’s an on going Patek Philippe Exhibition at the MBS. It will run until Oct. 13.

Yeah, saw the notice this morning. Sayang, no time! Went instead to the free (today only data) exhibits at the National Museum close to my hotel.

Haha, sana. My flight (UA 2) leaves at 845 am, so I'm going to be in Changi at 630.

For once, getting booked at the Marina Sands Resort Hotel is now a struggle as there are no vacancies for the past three days. Seems to me we’ll have to settle again at Jen Hotel for our trip this month. Like @jetan said it seems the tourists are all coming to Singapore rather than HK now.

    Hehe panalo.

But I always think spas in Singapore are clean. Always clean. That’s why they come here to get “dirty” and all. My friend says those in Ermita are the best. I never knew...

Jen Hotel offers great spa treatment for 2 hours free, which if you are enjoying it, is too short. I never tried the spa at Marina Sands because their pool is better.
