I remember my first time in SG back in like 2004, Funan IT Mall was a relatively spanking new building as compared to its surroundings, i.e. Adelphi, Peninsula Plaza, heck even Sim Lim Square/Tower. Taking the escalator outside means you go straight to the gadget stores.

So I was surprised why they had to make a new one so soon.

hmmm. Drone - my wife purchased it at the airport (duty free) + there was a promotion during that time
Apple - price is pretty standard, you get freebies if you buy from premium resellers, Beats during the back to school promotion (you need to purchase online)

Before purchasing electronics / gadgets, I highly advise to find out the warranty coverage too. For items that only comes with local warranty, be willing to accept the troubles tied to a faulty device while overseas.

Mm...jeez.....more intrusive violation of privacy. I mean what the heck? 237 cases of taxi fare evasion out of 287 million taxi rides ? What a poor ass excuse of a solution looking for a problem....

Singapore is already one of the safest countries in the world.....so more government surveillance?

    Joke in our office today.

When you ride a taxi and the driver keeps complaining on how they are not being taken care of...
When other first world countries take care of their elderly, in Singapore they have to work...
When he's driving at 40km/h on a rush hour and he calls it a traffic jam then he complains that there's too many cars!

Do not agree, someone is watching you!

just came from singapore. Jewel was too crowded for my taste, I just went inside terminal 1 after eating at Shake shack and picking up Irving chips.

I felt Singapore is too expensive and found better deals in Japan where I can get tax refund and Visa 5% discount on top of any sale price.

Yes, Japan is way cheaper... Plus they give you GST free shopping (passport required), Except for ABC Mart  (but still, shoes there are around S$50.00 than in Singapore, plus Japan exclusives)

Only public transport is more expensive in Japan...
