contemplating getting sims2 to run on a mac mini G4 but I am concerned whether it will run right. When I look at the specs for the game they list video cards that you should have to play the game, but I am pretty sure the mac mini doesn't have one.

    Any one with actual experience?

I think it is a 1.2 GHz G4 mac mini, running with 512 MB of Ram

    Thanks,

Better upgrade your memory first. Mine was running on a 2.5ghz PC with 512Ram and ATI 9600XT but there's lags and hiccups while playing. What more on a Mini with a slower processor and video card. Up your memory by at least 1gb.

The mini's video card is not for gaming.

does this mean that the game won't run? Or it will not be very fast? Or the rendering won't be as detailed?

It would be nice to get more specific info. And actual experience using a mac mini g4 would be best.

    Thanks
