I think the old law required social media info.

Philsys ID nga 70millions registered but no delivery, if 1 million ID a year, it will take 70 years to deliver,
how can a Filipino get a Sim card? when they die? its easier to apply and get a death certificate than getting an ID daw.

They should have done onsite printing for the Philsys ID.

Mm…according to Philpost, they ve delivered 14 million IDs with only 800,000 left to deliver. As for the rest, BSP is still way swamped with their printing problems. It will take years to provide a solution to govt incompetence.

Mm…tens of millions of active prepaid sim cards…..how will they (telcos) manage the flow of registration with so few branches? U can just imagine the RUSH to register. How long will it take to process a single registrant? 5 to 10 minutes? Multiply that with tens of millions? Good luck with that.

I ll dump my prepaid sim and buy a new one if it is easier to register at the point of sale (sari sari store etc.) rather than register my present sim card with the telco to avoid the hassle.

I think telcos will add sim registration to their apps (gigalife, dito app, globeone).

Mm..lol! My 2 kasambahays only have barangay ID. I ll have then apply for postal ID just in case it is needed. But first, they need to get birth certificates through online.
