Sign in your Google account using Google Goggles

    This is awesome. But you need the google app (or other apps that can read QR codes) on your iphone to do it.

    You can use this if you are on an internet cafe, and your phone needs to be connected to the internet for this to work. But if your phone, is already connected to the internet, why log-in using a public computer when you can already do so on your phone?

    But this is awesome still.

    mmmm.....this is just part of a larger effort by different companies to provide users with additional options to protect their passwords from being compromised by hackers. As an opt-in, Google mail already implements two-step authentication via registered phone. Microsoft does the same for Hotmail (limited to the U.S.) and in the developer's preview of Windows 8, password input can be made via gestures on user provided photos, making it impossible for keylogging programs to copy.

    Tried it yesterday but decided to turn it off because the process is too kludgy...
