@macfrancis, just put in the value of your item. LBC's website will ignore the insurance for the 1st $100 value of your item as the insurance for that is already in their fee. The value after the 1st $100 is what you are charged extra.
Hmm, four days has passed since I paid for my items at LBC and it still says Consolidated (with no tracking #) as of now. Backlogs maybe? :/
Ever since they "upgraded" their website, their updating capability seems to have fallen behind. If you contact them by email via their website, you can get an update within 24 hours from one of their customer reps via return email.
Well there's an update to my orders and I already got a tracking number just this morning. Maybe they're still adapting to the system and it still has some quirks internally.
Looks like they stabilized already, since I paid yesterday and today I got two email notifications (first to notify me of consolidation, second to notify me of shipment with tracking number) What I noticed with LBC: 1. When you ship only one item, no consolidation - they're relatively fast. One time, I got an item 7 days after I paid for it. 2. When you ship several items together (i.e., consolidation) - takes much longer. Normally 10-15 days But I'd still use them because their consolidation service is top notch and saves me quite a few pesos in shipping weight.
How long does it usually take for my package to show up in MSB's "My Shipments" list? UPS and Amazon tracking says that the item was received last night (manila time). Sorry for the n00b question, its my first time to use MSB (or any forwarding company for that matter) lol.
It varies. It can appear in about 1-4 days. The worst was during Black Friday 2014 when my package showed up more than 10 days before it showed up. They gave their customers the excuse that they were overwhelmed with the orders that came during the holidays. Anyways, my two recent orders shipped to them showed up in my account after a day for one package, and about 2 days for the other one.
Got it. I sure hope they've 'recovered' from the past 'Prime Day' haha. Will give them over the weekend to update the site before I follow up Thanks!
Tried lbc shippingcart last week, paid the shipping cost from US last saturday and the item arrived this morning. That was fast!!
Every when does MSB ship orders to the PH? I authorized my item to ship this morning, but it's status is still SHIPMENT AUTHORIZED..
Citibank Philippines is offering a 15% to 25% discount on shipping via PObox.ph from July 27 to August 9. How fast and reliable is Pobox.ph? Anybody with an experience shipping through them?
I have shipped several huge and/or heavy items through POBox.PH over the years and didn't have any problems. Note that their items are sent by sea so it usually takes at least five weeks for your package to arrive at your door. Hmm, now what do I need that's huge and heavy. . . .
I'm not sure what day of the week do they ship orders but to give you an idea I authorized my order last friday evening (July 17, morning in MSB USA), and the status only changed this afternoon (around midnight in MSB USA) to inform me that it has departed MSB USA.
Oh hey, good news and bad news regarding my previous inquiry. Good news is that after 2 days, I received the e-mail notification from MSB saying that they've received and processed my item, which now also shows in "my shipment" page in their website. Bad news is, apparently the item that I purchased contains lithium ion battery and is prohibited from being shipped as it is a 'fire hazard'. Damn it. It was never placed in the item description that it had a battery in it. Now I sent an e-mail to them since that is their instruction. Sooooo what'll happen to my item? Any experiences regarding this one? Tsk. -edit- Meh, based from the previous posts here, its gonna be as if I gave MSB my item for free. *sigh*
Try asking them if they can send your item to LBC and use LBC Shipping Cart to send your item instead. I think LBC charges $$8.xx/lbs for items with lithium batteries (for the additional processing etc.). Haven't tried this yet but my boss used LBC when he bought Qi Stone powerbank. HTH See: https://lbcshippingcart.ph/rates
Yeah, I already contacted them and am waiting for a reply. Good to know that LBC would allow shipping with lithium batteries, I should have gone with them from the beginning. I'm also looking into having them send it to MyEcasa, or if all else fails, at least have the item returned to Amazon and I'll just re-purchase it or whatever, as long as I don't get 0 lol. In any case, they should just allow having it sent via sea freight since, based from reading the links here, the prohibition for shipping lithium ion batteries (or gadgets with it) is a restriction given by IATA, which I think should only apply thru air cargos/shipping, and not via sea. Anyways, that's just me thinking aloud and hoping to get my stuff lol. Thanks for the info
guys, has anyone already tried shipping a laptop via sea cargo thru lbc? if yes, was the service good and there was no damage to the box and/or laptop?
