Can anyone confirm if MSB will mark my item as shipment authorized as soon as I made the payment? It used to be that way from what I recall. The last package I authorized was from last year's Black Friday shopping and it looks like the site has gone through some drastic changes. The option to use mastercard/visa vs Amex is also no where to be found. sigh.
I was messing around with paydollar early this morning and was able to get to the page where I was able to pay via mastercard. I think I got charged but the status didn't change. sigh. Those who had trouble with MSB with issues like prohibited items and lithium batteries. how did you deal with it? Were you able to talk msb into shipping it elsewhere?
I experienced the same issue once before. After payment, you have to click "Continue" for the status to change. You can call MSB, they can confirm your payment and change the status manually.
What really happened was I've been using MSB since 2012. It was free when I signed up for Globe Gcash Amex. I never had a chance to use gcash amex on anything.I've been authorizing my packages using mastercard and visa using a trick that I accidentally bumped into when I was authorizing my first package back in 2012. The URL used to be this > http://www.my-shoppingbox.com/gcashamex/ordlst.php < That url will only allow you to authorize your package using gcash amex. But if you change the URL to > http://www.my-shoppingbox.com/ordlst.php you're given the option to pay using mastercard, visa etc. That trick was working before MSB made changes on their site. The URL I'm getting now is this http://my-shoppingbox.com/receipts Needless to say, that workaround is now outdated. I tried working through the javascript of the new site trying to decrypt a way to pay using card other than amex but I couldn't get pass the payment screen after you submit your card information. hah! I need a java refresher. Anyway I gave up on the javascript and tried decoding the URLs of paydollar. I was able to send a payment using the paydollarURL/merchant ID/amount/OrderRef#/AirOrSea but the order's status didn't change to authorized. I emailed support and they updated my order status. The paydollar url worked but it's not practical to have to email them every time. Looks like I'm gonna have to sign up for a new account using mastercard/visa and pay for another annual fee. I have a couple of months left before my current MSB membership expires. Too bad they cant just give you the freedom to use whatever card you want to use for authorizing a shipment. Are you still getting email notification after authorizing MSB shipment?
June 26 - I tracked my Amazon package and it indicated that it had been delivered to LBC Shipping Cart's office June 27 - I received an e-mail stating that my package is with them already. July 5 - finally, my package appeared on my LBC Shipping Cart account. I paid the same day. Up to this day, using the tracking number LBC provided, there's no change on its status. If you're used to Johnny Air, stay away from LBC like a plague. It's not fast at all like they claim it to be.
Planning to have books shipped from the US, the biggest problem is... it supposedly weighs 16.8 pounds! Which shipping company would you suggest? No rush, so will be okay not shipping it by air. Having someone bring it in will be too dyahe, 16.8 too much to ask someone to carry that, LOL!
From what I've gathered pobox ships through forexworld. You pay a bit more with pobox mainly for a better website interface. 7-8 weeks delivery usually. Never lost a thing through the years with forexworld, numerous boxes delivered.
Try MSB's $2.99 per lb sea freight rate Sir (60 days) (and if you have an account with them). I can ship it directly to your address using my account ü
I recently emailed LBC, and according to them: We can now accept items with lithium ion content but it will now be classified as air cargo (Dangerous Goods) and the transit time will be 10 – 15 days business days due to special handling of the item. You can transact this kind of goods less than the commercial quantity which is (12) pieces of the same kind. We are glad that you choose LBC Shipping Cart.
From Amazon: Publisher: Elsevier Publication date: May 6, 2015 Language: English Product Dimensions: 11.8 x 9.4 x 6.1 inches Shipping Weight: 16.8 pounds Book length: 3888 http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/14557...ds=nelson+textbook+of+pediatrics+20th+edition
seems LBC's trying to win back customers with 24% OFF promo from july 16 - aug 8. my 3 packages, received at LBC CA office on June 30, still have yet to reach our door step. updated MNL ETA, today. oh well. at least 'tracking' works on my end. will still use them on prime day. i now have over 20 items on my cart, hoping for big discounts
At 17 pounds x $2.99, POBox.PH still turns out to be cheaper. Given the book's dimensions, it will likely fit POBox.PH's black box ($30) or if not the yellow box, the next larger box ($40). POBox.PH also delivers to you address.
You may consider shipping through LBC via sea since they charge by dimensional weight. The dimensional weight is Length x Width x Height (all in inches) / 166, so your package is going to be a little over 4 lbs. Shipping fee will be around $14.48 less the 24% discount they are currently offering.
Sir/Madam, It's my first time to ship via LBCshippingcart from US to PHIL, if the cost of my item is $400, how much is the insurance that I need to put. Please advise.
So far I'm happy with LBC shippingcart. I got an email this morning (4am) that my item has already arrived at their warehouse, and then when I checked my account this morning (9am), it is already there ready for shipping (complete with pictures pa haha). It is already cheaper than MyEcasa, then there's a 24% discount promo for shipping this Thursday as well, which makes each of my shoes less than 4-digits each to ship here in Pinas. Nice!
I've got a feeling that our favorite shipping companies will have a busy day tomorrow, thus leading to severe backlog like how it was during Black Friday & Cyber Monday 2014. On the bright side, Amazon's Prime Day is good for one day only so maybe it might not be worse, but I'm still expecting a test of patience for all of us shoppers.
