I know this is US to PH thread, sorry to ask(will delete if not allowed), but do you know a service in HK that can ship powerbanks to PH? had a poor decision of ordering the Apple Magsafe Battery pack thinking it's allowed, BuyandShip HK tagged it as prohibited
I think general rule, you cannot have this shipped via cargo. That's why you can only hand carry these items. But I did read that shipping lithium ion batteries (stand alones) is possible but would get complicated as there are specific packaging requirements and declarations. This is why on the apple website they have a lot of disclaimers on how this can be shipped, its because the item is considered by the IATA as a dangerous item. If you know someone in HK they can repackage the item for you and send it. This might help: https://www.fedex.com/en-ph/shipping-guide/pack/lithium-batteries.html
Yeah, had the notion it might work since Kango and JAC were able to ship my anker powerbanks before. But didn't do my research this time with BuyandShip. Thanks for the link, will check.
Anyone have problems shipping to lbc shipping cart when buying from amazon? Seems like Hayward address is blocked.
I am planning to buy 3 perfumes from Amazon. I was able to use LBC Shipping Cart when I purchased it some years ago. Is LBC still the preferred forwarding company or is BNS better now? Been a while since I use Shipping Cart so I'm not sure about their service anymore.
Last I checked, perfumes are not allowed with BNS. Best check their restrictions list before you send items their way. On a slightly different note, I've been quite happy with BNS ever since I started using them a year ago. Haven't used any other forwarder since!
My Nvidia GPU took only five days to arrive from their US drop-off site to my door. I'm quite impressed with their recent service.
Thanks for the feedback guys! Will send them the link of the perfumes and have it checked if okay to ship here in the Philippines. Edit: Perfumes are strictly prohibited according to BNS.
I just got a tip from a friend who knows someone who works in BNS HK logistics. They're having discussions these days on how much the new rise in prices will be for packages since gasoline for airplanes/ships have almost doubled in price as well. We'll be seeing around 850 to 1,100 pesos per lbs for our packages someday. So if you need to buy anything abroad, now might be a good time to ship them.
