I can't seem to use the search function in Mail. It works whenever I search anything in the FROM, TO or SUBJECT fields, but when I click "Entire Message," nothing ever comes out.

Anyone experience this? I have no idea how to solve it!

Chinggay, if you're on Tiger you can try using Spotlight. It searches Mail too.

i type in words in the search bar in mail... i'm supposed to be able to choose where to search—whether in the "entire message" or "to", "from" or "subject"... whenever i type in words in the search bar and click "entire message," nothing comes up. even when i use spotlight, nothing from Mail comes up (even if mail is selected in spotlight preferences)...

Do you first highlight the mailboxes you want to search? That's what I do in Panther.

Yup! I do highlight the mailboxes I want to search. :(

I looked this problem up on Apple's Support page discussions and found out tons of people have the same problem. They say that indexing your files again (via Terminal) may do the trick, but it didn't work for me. Renaming your home folder might also help, but that didn't solve my problem either. OH WELL :sigh:
