Anyone know the trick on how to do this? I don't want to fork out P1500 for the ability to download movie trailers online. I also don't want to downgrade to QT 6.2.5.

    Thanks.

i think there is no way unless you can find the movie cache in the computer and save it or copy it out of the temp folder, in windows it was easier just look for a file by typing *.mov, in file find and it the file displayed was in a temp folder chances are that was the mov file your looking for, all you had to do was rename it, in mac i dont know how

When I was still using Panther I used this to save the movie trailers that I liked. Now that I'm using Tiger I haven't installed it yet so I wouldn't know for sure if it works in QT Player 7. The application itself hasn't been updated in a long while so I'm not sure if it's Tiger compatible (that's the main reason why I haven't installed it yet).

use FireFox to open the page with the qt movie. right click (or control click for the multi-button challenged) on the page and select "Page Info". click on the "Media" tab, the movie should show up on the list of media files associated with the page, usually embedded. Click on the "Save as..." button. that should work 90% of the time, some qt files cant be downloaded (even with qt7pro) like the internet exclusive trailers of "kingdom of heaven" and "fantastic four".

when all else fails, I run back to my pc, fire up Kazaa, and input the trailer. Works 99% of the time :D
